What you choose to create afterward can change everything.
In December 2024, my life changed in a single moment.
While walking through a crosswalk as a pedestrian, I was struck by a SUV. The accident left me with serious neck and brain injuries and instantly altered the pace and direction of my life. Before that day, I was constantly on the move—working hard, solving problems, and navigating the demands of a traditional career that kept me running from one thing to the next.
Suddenly, everything stopped.
Recovery became my full time focus. I spent nearly six months in occupational therapy, alongside ongoing physical therapy, learning how to rebuild my strength, my focus, and my sense of normalcy. The process was slow and often frustrating, but it also forced me to pause and reconsider what truly mattered.
One of my therapists encouraged me to explore activities that required patience, creativity, and concentration—something that could help retrain my brain while giving me something positive to look forward to.
That is how I found soap making.
At first, it was simply a way to focus. Soap making is a delicate chemistry—balancing ingredients, temperatures, timing, and creativity in perfect harmony. It requires attention and intention, but it also allows me the flexibility to rest when my body and mind need it.
Batch by batch, something unexpected happened.
What began as therapy slowly became a passion.
Creating something beautiful with my hands during one of the most difficult chapters of my life gave me a renewed sense of purpose. Each bar represented patience, perseverance, and the quiet determination to keep moving forward.
Today, those same values are at the heart of this company.
Every soap I create is made with intention, care, and gratitude—not only for the craft itself, but for the opportunity to still be here creating at all. One second earlier in that crosswalk, and my story could have ended very differently. That perspective has changed the way I approach life, work, and the small luxuries we often take for granted.
More than a year later, my recovery is still ongoing. I recently underwent my second stem cell treatment and continue to seek out innovative therapies that support healing. The journey requires patience, resilience, and determination, but I remain committed to doing everything possible to regain my strength and continue moving forward.
Each purchase of these soaps supports more than a luxury artisan product. It also helps fund my ongoing recovery and the treatments that allow me to keep working toward becoming fully myself again.
Beyond this business, service has always been an important part of my life. I am the founder of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a Scout leader who enjoys mentoring young people as they grow in confidence and character, and a proud mother of a United States Army soldier. I am also working toward publishing children’s books—another creative path that allows me to share stories of imagination, courage, and resilience with the next generation.
This company is not simply about soap. It is about resilience, creativity, and the belief that meaningful things can emerge even from life’s most unexpected chapters. When someone chooses one of these soaps, they are supporting a small business built with care, perseverance, and gratitude—and that support truly means more than words can express.
If my soap has found its way into your home, please know that your support truly means more than a purchase. It helps sustain this journey of healing, creativity, and craftsmanship, and the belief that even life’s most unexpected moments can lead to something meaningful. I'm truly grateful to share that with you.
With gratitude,
